Spring cleaning came early for the Dimond merchants this year. On March 19 at 8:30 a.m. merchants and local residents were bending and picking up trash from Safeway to the freeway and from Market To Market Grocers to Lincoln Ave. Councilman Dick Spees, Dimond Improvement President Janet Broughton, Director of Trash and Cleanup Beverly Chefsky, and Representative of Phase III Jon Luster, were also on hand for support. Lucky's, McDonald's, Star Donuts and Dimond Bakery provided food and drink for all who turned out. Thanks,, Beverly for a successfully planned event. |
